In their latest site-specific installation at Kunstraum Konrad, opening on the 21st of September, room69 invites viewers to step into a world of narrative possibilities. Echoes presents a collection of fragmented narratives that challenge our perception of time and memory.

The installation transforms Kunstraum Konrad into a dreamscape where half-formed stories hover at the edge of consciousness. Evading linear structures, these narrative shards—whispered dialogues, cryptic symbols, and ephemeral images—coalesce and dissolve, inviting viewers to become co-creators in an evolving narrative ecosystem.

room69’s work probes deeply into the art of lore, fables, and tales, questioning the nature of storytelling itself. By presenting these narrative fragments, the collective prompts us to consider: How do stories shape our understanding of the past? How might they sculpt our visions of the future? And in what ways do these speculative narratives reflect our present moment?

Narratives—whether spun from the ancient roots of folklore or conjured from the flickering chaos of modern minds—contain sparks of magic, cryptic symbols that shape the way we render ourselves and the environments around us. They are an alchemy that shapes and reshapes identities, blending echoes of the past with the whispers of the future. A ritual that carries the weight of collective memory, yet is also a living, breathing force capable of transforming perceptions and realities.

As contemporary culture spins ever faster, these symbols and narratives do not remain static; they evolve, morphing in response to the changing tides of society. The ancient symbols, once etched in stone or whispered by the fire, now flicker across screens, fragmented and reassembled in the digital ether. Yet, even as they change form, their essence remains—a thread of continuity that ties the now to the then, the possible to the remembered.
