Voice-Tone-Adjuster

Since testosterone made my voice deeper, and there are days when I enjoy having a different sounding voice, I like using this device. I just put it around my neck and can regulate the tone/pitch via an app.

Hormone regulator

This is my hormone regulator, with which I can control the amount of testosterone and estrogen in my body. You can get a universal health port that sits on your arm, in which the regulator can be clipped in.

Digital Identification

This is my digital ID/passport. It holds my biometric data, so there is no need for a picture. I can change my gender identity on my profile whene- ver I want, which is very convenient.

Football shoes

As a person who can‘t be (and doesn‘t want to be) categorized in the binary system, I wouldn‘t have been able to participate in professional sports only a few years ago.

Lighter

I got this lighter from a tourist shop that shows the monument of Marsha P. Johnson in the 1st district next to Stubentor. Back in the days, there used to be a monument of the fascist and racist Dr. Karl Lueger, which was removed and placed in a park in the 19th district along with other statues and monuments representing people and historical events that do not align with our values and were therefore removed from the city center.

Set of Nails

(I love bussy)

Binder (T-shirt)

I like wearing this top on days when I prefer having a flat chest since higher estrogen levels usually lead to breast growth.

Pants

I found these pants when my friends and I were in Antwerp on holiday. Probably someone from the fashion department threw them into the trash. I wear them almost every day. Someone else‘s trash is another one‘s treasure.
Queer time breaks the linearity of heteronormative chronology. Solace is found through materialized memories & transformative affirmations. The objects inspire hope for a gentler, queer future & reveal traces of possible forms of becoming & being.

The project examines a speculative queer utopian future told by personal objects and their meaning of a fictive person born in the year 2092.

Birthcertificate

This is the physical display of my birth certificate. It‘s actually a non- fungible token that holds all the information you usually find on birth certificates. However, in 2106, it was decided that specifications on ethnicity, gender, sex, and nationality should be excluded from docu- ments since those were usually weaponized as tools of oppression. Also, we now have the option of having more than two parents.
